Glass Jump Guard

A glass jump guard is one of the simplest ways to prevent fish escaping from a pond with a low retaining wall. Koi and other pond fish can jump much higher than many owners expect, especially when startled by a heron, a dog or sudden movement around the pond. If your pond wall is under around 300mm high, adding a glass jump guard provides extra protection without spoiling the appearance of the pond.

Each glass jump guard is manufactured from 10mm clear toughened safety glass and made to your exact dimensions rather than supplied as a standard-sized panel. Toughened glass is chosen for its strength and durability, making it ideal for resisting the occasional knock from pond nets, pets or wildlife while remaining crystal clear.

Every glass jump guard can be produced up to 3000mm in length, with heights starting from 120mm. While there is no fixed standard height, a 200mm glass jump guard is suitable for many garden ponds, whereas deeper ponds or fish known to jump are often better protected with heights of 300mm or 350mm.

Installation options include stainless steel posts, D clamps or corner clamps, allowing your glass jump guard to be fitted to straight pond edges or around corners without the need for holes in the glass.

Delivery & Handling

Your glass jump guard will be delivered by pallet or specialist glass transport vehicle to the kerbside or boundary of your property. As the glass is heavy, suitable assistance should be available to move it safely into position after delivery.
